Privacy

We store the country of each store click, an email only if you ask for alerts or the weekly email, and nothing else that identifies you. We never store your IP address.

What we store

  • Email address, only if you ask for a price alert or the weekly email. Double opt-in: nothing is sent until you confirm, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe that deletes the address. Confirmation links expire after 7 days. The address is shared with our email provider (Resend) to deliver the mail, and with no one else.
  • API key owner: the email and project name you give when you create a key, used to contact you about the API. Only a hash of the key is stored.
  • Store clicks: when you press a store button we record the offer, the page, the country code, and a salted session hash that cannot be turned back into an IP address. Click records are kept for 24 months; the session hash is deleted after 30 days.
  • Steam sign-in (not live yet): if offered, we would keep an irreversible identifier and whether you later owned a game you clicked. We would never store your Steam ID, library or profile.

What we do not store

  • Your IP address. It is turned into a country code and discarded.
  • Accounts, passwords, payment details, or basket contents.
  • Tracking cookies of any kind.

Cookies and analytics

Fairly uses no tracking cookies and shows no cookie banner. Analytics run on our own server with Umami, which is cookieless. A browser-local marker lets us count returning visits; it is never sent as an identifier.

One first-party cookie, fairly_prefs, remembers the region and currency you picked, for one year. It is needed to show the right prices and carries nothing else.

Store links lead to other websites. Their affiliate networks set their own cookies on the store's domain, not on ours; see each store's privacy policy. Our traffic passes through Cloudflare, which sees IP addresses in order to deliver the site.

Why we may process it

Email addresses: your consent, given by confirming the double opt-in. Click and visit records: our legitimate interest in running the service and measuring whether it works. API keys: performing the service you asked for.

Your rights (GDPR and KVKK)

You can ask to see, correct, delete, or export the data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected]. We delete within 7 days. Unsubscribing from an alert or the weekly email deletes that address immediately.

You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Türkiye, the KVKK Board). Click records cannot be traced back to a person, so there is nothing to look up there.

Who is responsible
